Yangon
This morning visit the famous Sule Paya Pagoda, Mahabandoola Garden from where you get lovely vistas of the colonial neighborhood and the Bogyoke Market which sells everything from souvenirs to food. Take a walking tour through bustling Chinatown and visit the Khant Hoke Chinese temple. Also, visit the hundred-year-old Strand Hotel, which still retains all its historic grandeur. At around 4 o'clock, visit the world famous Shwedagon Pagoda and watch the spectacular sunset & change of color over the gold pagoda. Lunch and dinner are at local restaurants. (B, L, D)
Saturday, 14 Oct. 17
Yangon – Bagan
Fly to Bagan this morning, where you are met and assisted by your guide on arrival and taken for sightseeing. Visit the Schwezigon Pagoda, a precursor of the famous and later built Myanmar stupa. Then move on to Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple, which is notable for its beautiful murals depicting the life of the Buddha. Procced to your hotel to check in and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch visit a lacquerware factory where you can see traditional Myanmar laquerware making.
Also, visit Manuha temple with gigantic Buddha statues and the adjacent Hindu temple of Nanpaya, which showcases some of the best architecture and design from the Indian states of. an early style temple with the finest stone carvings. In the evening you will visit the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece in cruciform with four standing Buddhas, each one facing the cardinal direction of East, North, West and South. Bagan
There is nothing more beautiful than seeing Bagan from the air; the forested land peppered with temples and pagodas has an air of mystery, and unmatched beauty. The land also glitters and glows against a rising or setting sun which create a magical atmosphere for all those who are witness. Early this morning (around 0530am) you are fetched from your hotel and escorted to the point of ascension for the hot air balloons. Enjoy a 45-minute flight over the ancient land and mighty Ayeyarwaddy River before descending back to earth. This is a fantastic opportunity to photograph the seemingly surreal landscape. On landing, the crew has a small celebration ready with pastries and a glass of champagne.
Return to your hotel for breakfast and then proceed for a day of sightseeing of the vary temples and pagodas you spotted from the air. Visit the Pahtothamya, Mahabodhi Paya, Ngakywenadaung Paya, Dhammayangyi Pahto, Thatbyinnyu Temple, Dhamma Yangyi Temple, Schwegugyi Temple, Gawdaw Pallin Temple etc. Watch the sunset among the temples & pagodas before returning to your hotel. Dinner is at a popular restaurant with a renowned puppet show. (B, L, D)

Bagan – Mandalay
After breakfast, you are escorted to the airport to board your flight to Mandalay. You will be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel. Enroute you will visit the famous Mahamuni Paya – one of the holiest Buddhist shrines in Myanmar. Also visit a Marble factory and a gold-leaf making works – gold leaf is an important part of Burmese culture and thus you will get a chance to see how it is made, its history and its use. Check in to your hotel after this and then proceed to a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, visit the U Bein's Bridge, one of the oldest teak bridges in the world. After this visit the Bagaya Kyaung Monastery – a beautiful teak wood monastery to see the the beautiful bas relief and etchings. Dinner is at local restaurant. (B, L, D) Hotel Shwe Pyi Thar
Tuesday, 17 Oct. 17 Mandalay
Heho - Nyaung Shwe – Inle Lake
After breakfast, you are escorted to the airport for your flight to Heho. You are met there and driven to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake is situated. The drive takes about 45 minutes. Lunch is arranged at your arrival on a lovely restaurant on stilts with unfettered views of the lake. After lunch, you are taken about Inle Lake by boat while you see the how the people here have adapted their lives to living in and around water. See the fishermen with their unique fishing styles, the floating gardens as well as the floating markets. Also visit the Nga Pe Chaung (Jumping cat) monastery and a silver smith factory. Wednesday, 18 Oct. 17
Indein – Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Yangon – Depart for India
Early this morning visit the village of Indien with its unique pagoda and a chance to meet the famous Pa O tribes people. The Pa O tribes women are known for their distinctive long necks which is achieved by the use of brass rings. Then transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon Domestic Airport and you are escorted to the International terminal to board your flight to India. (B, L)
